Mirko Gatto founded Yarix at the age of 24, back in 2001, when he conceived the idea of a company specialising in cybersecurity. Today Yarix is one of the most important players in Italy, through is role of menaging the Digital Security business line of the Italian giant Var Group.

Gatto lives in Montebelluna, where Yarix’s headquarter and the Security Operation Center for 24x7x365 monitoring of company networks are located. Yarix was the first private Italian company to be a member of FIRST – Forum for Incident Response and Security Teams – an international organization that brings together the most important public and private entities for the prevention and joint management of security incidents.

In 2014, Mirko Gatto plans a growth path for Yarix starting a process of companies acquisition to create a center of excellence for global enterprise security management.

In 2015 Mirko Gatto became Board Member of Var Group. As an expert in cyber security and cyber intelligence, he has been supporting law enforcement and government agencies in the field of forensic investigations for years. Since July 2016 the collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior has been formalised with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the Prevention and Counteraction of Cyber Crimes for the defence of critical infrastructures, with reference also to potential risk scenarios related to cyber terrorism.
